NALCHIK, December 14 (Itar-Tass) — Several gunmen were killed by police and security officers in a special operation in the village of Zhankhotenko in Kabardino-Balkaria’s Baksan district overnight to Wednesday, the press service of the republican interior ministry told Itar-Tass.
A group of armed men offered resistance when police tried to detain them. Various reports put the number of the killed from one to four.
