Opposition leader fined for organizing unsanctioned rally

Limonov has been found guilty of administrative offenses; he has been fined a total of 2,100 roubles

MOSCOW, December 13 (Itar-Tass) — The magistrate section of Moscow's Tverskoi court on Tuesday fined Other Russia leader Eduard Limonov 2,100 roubles for organizing and participating in unsanctioned rallies in Triumfalnaya Square in Moscow on December 4 and 6, the Court's spokeswoman Yekaterina Ilyina Told Itar-Tass.

"Limonov has been found guilty of administrative offenses; he has been fined a total of 2,100 roubles," Ilyina said.

Under the court's ruling, the Other Russia leader has been fined 1,500 roubles for organizing the unsanctioned protest in Triumfalnaya Square on December 4 and 600 roubles for participating in the unsanctioned rally in Triumfalnaya Square on December 6.

Limonov said he might appeal the ruling.
