MOSCOW, December 13 (Itar-Tass) — Moscow police are looking for the currency exchange office cashier who escaped with 600,000 euros belonging to an entrepreneur as she wished to convert the sum into roubles. The damage is estimated at 24 million roubles, law-enforcement bodies told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

The grand fraud was committed at the currency exchange office located in Prospekt Mira (Avenue), 70. "The director of a commercial firm reported the theft to police. The woman said the cashier had taken the money for conversion and fled through the backdoor," a law-enforcement officer said.

Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 159, Part 3 of Russia's Criminal Code ("grand fraud"). Police retrieved the recordings made by the CCTV cameras on the currency exchange office.
