MOSCOW, December 13 (Itar-Tass) — Director General of the Kommersant holding Andrei Galiyev and editor-in-chief of Kommersant VLAST magazine Maxim Kovalsky have been dismissed from their posts.
The Rossiya 24 television news channel reported on Tuesday that “this tough decision was made by the major shareholder of the publishing house, Alisher Usmanov, after the publication of the latest issue of Kommersant Vlast.”
The Kommersant publishing house was founded on the basis of the private newspaper Kommersant in 1989. In 2006 it was bought by businessman Alisher Usmanov. At present the publishing house includes the Kommersant newspaper with thematic supplements and magazines, including Vlast (Power), Dengi (Money), and Ogonek.
