No evacuation from hotel next to which sauna on fire in Moscow

The fire spread on 20 square meters

MOSCOW, December 12 (Itar-Tass) —— No evacuation was made from a hotel in north-eastern Moscow, next to which the sauna is on fire, chief press officer of the Moscow emergency situation service Yevgeny Bobylev told Itar-Tass on Monday.

“People were not evacuated, there is no threat for them,” he said.

The fire broke out at about 11.30 p.m. Moscow time on Sunday at a one-storey building next to the fire-storey hotel Zolotoy Kolos in Yaroslavskaya Street. “The fire broke out in the basement, where the sauna is presumably is housed. Seven people were saved from there,” Bobylev said.

The sauna does not belong to the hotel, he said. “This is a private company,” he noted.

No casualties were reported, the emergency situation service reported. The fire spread on 20 square meters.
