Opposition rally in Moscow adopts resolution calling for new elections

MOSCOW, December 10 (Itar-Tass) —— An opposition rally in Moscow that gathered some 20,000 people on Saturday, December 10, adopted a resolution that calls for new State Duma elections.

The resolution calls in particular for freedom to political prisoners, cancellation of the results of the December 4 Duma elections, resignation of Central Election Commission Chairman Vladimir Churov, and “an investigation of his activities”, registration of all political parties and democratisation of legislation in this field, as well as the holding of new parliamentary elections.
