MOSCOW, December 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Yabloko leader Sergei Mitrokhin demanded a State Duma election recount on Friday.
He said at a meeting of the Central Elections Commission, which was hearing the party’s complaint, that the election was falsified. “If you do not recount votes, that will be done on the street,” he said.
He advised Central Elections Commission Chairman Vladimir Churov to resign “due to the personal responsibility for the scale of election falsifications.”
Yabloko will make its demands to the State Duma and other national bodies, Mitrokhin said.
