Moscow police to undertake all security measures for Sat rally

MOSCOW, December 9 (Itar-Tass) — The Moscow police will undertake all measures for security during the rally in the Bolotnaya Square on Saturday, Deputy Mayor Alexander Gorbenko said on Friday.

He said that the meeting may feature 5-7 thousand participants.

The city police will undertake all security measures and do not plan detentions, he told audience of the Echo of Moscow radio station.

Gorbenko added that the event organisers do not plan a procession, thus any attempts to organise one will be considered as violation of the public order.

He added that the bridges and roads near the square will not be blocked.

The city authorities issued a permission to organise the rally from 14:00 through to 18:00 Moscow time.
