MOSCOW, December 9 (Itar-Tass) —— A man stabbed eight people with a knife in northern Moscow on Friday, a city police representative told Itar-Tass.
A police patrol seized the attacker at about 1:00 p.m. Moscow time on Korneichuk Street.
“Four victims were reported at first. Later on hospitals reported another four victims, mostly elderly people. The assailant also stabbed a woman right in front of a child’s eyes,” the source said.
The city police department told Itar-Tass earlier that one victim was on the critical list.
The assailant was taken to the Bibirevo precinct. His identity has not been reported as yet.
According to tentative reports, the detainee is inadequate; he might have committed the crime under the influence of narcotic drugs, the department said.
