BERLIN, December 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s Ambassador to Germany Vladimir Grinin called the upcoming Year of Russia in Germany and Year of Germany in Russia as a complex programme of exchanges, which is to demonstrate the entire range of mutual cooperation between the two countries in politics, economy, culture, education, science and scientific research.
These ‘cross’ Years will have a motto “Russia and Germany – Building Future Together,” he said in an exclusive interview with Itar-Tass on Friday.
Planned events include several major joint artistic-documentary exhibitions, including a “Russia and Germans – 1000 years of history, culture, art” exposition, tours of troupes, scientific and entrepreneurial forums, etc., the diplomat said.
Cooperation of the two countries in culture and science “is highly intensive both on the governmental and social levels,” Vladimir Grinin continued. “The year 2011 is not an exception, as it has demonstrated cooperation between Russia and Germany in education, science and innovations.” The two countries participated in over 100 event, including conferences, symposiums, and exhibitions which bore a joint slogan “Partnership of Ideas.” The events of the Year of education, science and innovations will continue in 2012, too, the ambassador added.
