United Russia gains 35,93% at Duma elections in St Petersburg

Just Russia is running second with 24.04%. The Communist Party scored 15.57% in St. Petersburg. The Liberal Democratic Party got 10.46% of votes

ST. PETERSBURG, December 7 (Itar-Tass) —— The St. Petersburg city election committee summed up the final results of the elections in the 6th State Duma in St. Petersburg. The protocols over the election results in five districts in the Russian northern capital were approved by a majority of members in the committee on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two members of the committee voiced a special view over the election results and did not support the common decision of the city election committee to approve the election protocols. According to members of the city election committee, which represent the Communist Party and Just Russia, the final decision on the elections to the sixth State Duma in St. Petersburg should be taken after all complaints are tried in order to sum up accurate election results in St. Petersburg.

The turnout has made 55.23% at the elections to the State Duma, the protocols of the city election committee said. According to the election results in St. Petersburg United Russia is leading with 35.93% of votes. Just Russia is running second with 24.04%. The Communist Party scored 15.57% in St. Petersburg. The Liberal Democratic Party got 10.46% of votes. Some 11.77% voted for Yabloko. The Patriots of Russia polled 1.26% of votes. The Right Cause Party got 0.96% of votes.

The city election committee did not sum up the election results to the Legislative Assembly in St. Petersburg. The state automatic system Elections is to process just several more protocols, the city election committee reported.
