Moscow’s legislature adopts deficit city budget for 2012 and for period of up to 2014

The budget for a longer period of up to 2014 provides for a deficit of 241.904 billion roubles in 2013, and 221.919 billion roubles in 2014

MOSCOW, December 7 (Itar-Tass) —— The Moscow City Duma, or legislature, on Wednesday passed the city’s budget for 2012 with a deficit of 259 billion roubles.

The budget fixes revenues of 1 trillion and 458.8 million roubles in 2012, and expenditures of 1 trillion 711.7 million roubles. Thus, the deficit will be about 259 billion roubles.

The budget for a longer period of up to 2014 provides for a deficit of 241.904 billion roubles in 2013, and 221.919 billion roubles in 2014.

Forecasted budgetary revenues in 2013 are fixed at 1.562 trillion roubles, and expenditures – at 1.804 trillion roubles. In 2014, incomes are planned at 1.723 trillion roubles, and spending – at 1.945 trillion roubles.
