CARACAS, December 7 (Itar-Tass) — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has described relations with Russia as “strategically important.”
At a news conference on Tuesday he said Executive Vice President, Elias Jaua Milano, will lead the Venezuelan delegation to the eighth meeting of the high-level intergovernmental commission that opens in Moscow on Wednesday.
The meeting will focus on the implementation of bilateral cooperation projects within the framework of the program for joint actions for 2014.
“The meeting will also discuss import issues in the defence sector,” Chavez said. “Everything we have already achieved within the framework of cooperation with Russia and China is only the beginning, great business is ahead.”
