MOSCOW, December 6 (Itar-Tass) —— Opposition member Boris Nemtsov and Gazeta.ru observer Bozhena Rynska have been detained in an unauthorized opposition action in the center of Moscow.

The police seized Nemtsov on Triumfalnaya Square, a police officer told Itar-Tass. In all, dozens of opposition members are taken into custody.

Some time ago the opposition protesters tried to break through police cordon towards the Nashi rally on Moscow’s Triumfalnaya Square. The attempt failed.

Police trucks are moving along the Sadovoye Ring towards Triumfalnaya Square. The traffic is limited and suspended around Triumfalnaya Square.

The Nashi are chanting “Russia! Putin! Medvedev!” The opposition responds “Shame! Shame!”

About 5,000 are taking part in the Nashi action, the police said.
