TSKHINVAL, December 6 (Itar-Tass) – Supreme Court of South Ossetia on Tuesday is expected to hear a cassation appeal of the former candidate for presidency, Alla Dzhioyeva, court chairman Atsamaz Bichenov told Itar-Tass.
The hearings will begin at 09:00 hours local time, which is synchronous with Moscow Standard Time /GMT + 4 hrs/.
The court used the intermediacy of a lawyer to inform Alla Dzhioyeva, who claims to have one the presidential election earlier this month, of the time when the procedure is due to begin.
“The cassation will be reviewed by a board of judges,” Atsamaz Bichenov said. “If a request is made to put the hearings off, it will be considered in line with procedural regulations.”
Dzhioyeva filed the cassation in view of a ruling by the Supreme Court to deem the presidential election null and void due to what it described as “numerous infractions during the election campaign and on the day of voting.”
Dzhioyeva said earlier she does not recognize either the court itself or its rulings.
