Ruling United Russia party wins polls in Russia’s Kamchatka territory

A total of 137, 814 voters, or 53.58 percent, took part in the elections to the State Duma

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY, December 5 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s ruling United Russia party has finished first in the elections to the State Duma lower parliament house in Russia’s Far Eastern Kamchatka Territory scoring 45.24 percent of the vote, a spokesman for the territorial election commission told Itar-Tas on Monday after counting 100 percent of protocols from local election commissions.

The Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) has finished second having won 18.61 percent of the vote. Next come the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) with 17.08 percent of votes; Just Russia – 10.06 percent. Yabloko, Patriots of Russia, and Right Cause have not managed to get over the seven-percent barrier, having won 4.12 percent, 2.23 percent, and 0.59 percent, respectively.

A total of 137, 814 voters, or 53.58 percent, took part in the elections to the State Duma.
