Putin votes at elections for sixth State Duma

“It will be clear in the afternoon.” However, the premier added that it is likely to be slightly higher than at the last elections

MOSCOW, December 4 (Itar-Tass) — Prime Minister Vladimir Putin arrived at polling station No. 2079 at the Russian Academy of Sciences at 12.45. The premier came without his wife. According to the premier, he is in high spirits on Election Day.

Chairman of the precinct commission Vladimir Zorin said that over 250 people out of 1,450 had voted by that time.

Putin greeted an officer of the precinct election commission, received a ballot paper and went to the voting booth. Several minutes later, he approached an electronic ballot box – the so-called system for processing ballot papers. Zorin briefly instructed the premier how to put the ballot paper into the vehicle.

As for the turnout, according to the cabinet head, it is difficult to say anything for the time being. “It will be clear in the afternoon.” However, the premier added that it is likely to be slightly higher than at the last elections.

Correspondent of the Kommersant newspaper Andrei Kolesnikov asked jokingly Putin “for whom are you spoiled your ballot paper?”. “I have not spoiled,” replied seriously the cabinet head and wishing nice things for all the present, left the polling station.
