BISHKEK, December 3 (Itar-Tass) —— A visit of Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill to Kyrgyzstan, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been cancelled, ITAR-TASS learnt at the visit organizing committee in the republic.

“The visit is postponed for an indefinite time according to the patriarch’s state of health,” a representative of the organizing committee specified.

Patriarch Kirill planned to hold a church service at the Voskresensky Cathedral and meet with new President Almazbek Atambayev of the republic in Bishkek within the framework of the celebrations of the 140th anniversary of the creation of the Tashkent and Central Asian diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
