MOSCOW, December 2 (Itar-Tass) —— Businessman Viktor Baturin has been charged with tax evasion, Russian Investigation Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin confirmed to Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
“The Moscow department of the Russian Investigation Committee brought the tax evasion charge against businessman Viktor Baturin (paragraph 2, article 198 of the Russian Criminal Code) on November 8. In the opinion of detectives, Baturin made a deliberate attempt to evade taxes with not including the revenue of 187,466,817 rubles from the selling of bank bills in his income declaration of 2007. Hence he evaded taxes at the sum of 23,200,686 million rubles,” Markin said.
