Attackers on Austrian football fans are not Lokomotiv fans

A household conflict sparked up the brawl against the football fans of the Austrian Sturm at the Borodino hotel in Moscow

MOSCOW, December 2 (Itar-Tass) — A household conflict sparked up the brawl against the football fans of the Austrian Sturm at the Borodino hotel in Moscow. The attackers on Austrian fans were not Lokomotiv fans, a source in the Moscow law enforcement agencies told Itar-Tass on Friday.

“There were no more than five attackers,” he said.

“They are not the Lokomotiv fans, a household conflict triggered the quarrel and the fistfight. Two detained fans were brought to administrative responsibility,” the source said.

The Lokomotiv fans condemned the incident and deny the participation of the Lokomotiv fans in the brawl. The attackers are called as hooligans, fools and bastards at the forums of the Lokomotiv fan club.

The call came at about 00.40 Moscow time on Friday in the police alert force after the Lokomotiv-Sturm match that the brawl was going on at the Borodino hotel on Rusakovskaya Embankment. The Moscow police alert force rushed to the incident site and detained the brawl instigators. They were two Muscovites born in 1987, earlier reported to be Lokomotiv fans. Three Sturm fans were hospitalized with various injuries. After the medical aid they were discharged from the hospital.

The injured fans did not turn in the Austrian Embassy for help, a source in the Austrian Embassy in Moscow told Itar-Tass.
