Minsk expects to receive 2.5 billion U.S. dollars for the sale of Beltransgaz’ 50-percent stake already next week

MINSK, November 30 (Itar-Tass) —— Minsk expects to receive 2.5 billion U.S. dollars for the sale of Beltransgaz’ 50-percent stake already next week, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Rumas told reporters on Wednesday.

“As far as I know the position of Gazprom, they will not delay the case [payment]. And money will be transferred already next week,” he said.

“The funds will be fully transmitted to the Belarusian gold and foreign currency reserves,” the deputy prime minister said.

Rumas also reaffirmed that the second tranche of the Eurasian Economic Community’s Anti-Crisis Fund worth 440 million U.S. dollars would also be received in the country next week and would be transferred to the gold and foreign currency reserves.
