Russian PM, entrepreneurs’ union president discuss results of 2011

Two thirds of companies polled by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs assess their 2011 performances as successful or satisfactory

MOSCOW, November 30 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on Tuesday met with president of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) Alexander Shokhin to discuss preliminary results of business activities in Russia in 2011, the press service of the Russian government reported.

Two thirds of companies polled by the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs assess their 2011 performances as successful or satisfactory. Thus, they praised a number of systemic reforms carried out in 2011 as having positive effect on the business climate in the country.

Shokhin invited the prime minister to attend a congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs on February 9, 2012 timed to mark the 20th anniversary of the organization.
