MOSCOW, November 29 (Itar-Tass) —— Businessman Viktor Baturin is detained in Moscow on suspicion of attempting to commit fraud, a Moscow police source told Itar-Tass.
Baturin is suspected of committing a crime -- attempting to commit fraud (Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 4 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code). He is detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the source said, adding that the Moscow police investigative department dealt with the case.
Itar-Tass has not received comments from the Moscow police yet.
Baturin is brother of former Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov’s wife.
