MOSCOW, November 27 (Itar-Tass) — The body of the MV Sergei Abramov mechanic was found in the Moscow northern river port two weeks after the fire, a city police source told Itar-Tass.
The vessel burned down in the early morning hours of November 14. It took the firemen 13 hours to put out the blaze of 1,500 square meters. The vessel tilted to the right and its aft sank. Two sailors were taken to hospital. According to the preliminary information, the fire was sparked by a short circuit.
The Federal Sea and River Transport Service will supervise the evacuation of the ship from the Moscow northern river port.
