GORKI, November 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The term of military service will not grow, Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev told a meeting with participants in a Forum of Women on Friday.
“We won’t increase anything. One year, and that is it,” he said.
Medvedev added that the country will develop the contract-based armed forces.
“The ratio of those conscripted and contracted in 5-7 years’ time will make ten to 90 percent, or 20 to 80 percent,” he said.
