MOSCOW, November 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The Rossiiskaya Gazeta daily on Saturday, November 26, will publish an upper house resolution fixing presidential election date, Timofei Kuznetsov, a deputy editor-in-chief, told Itar-Tass on Friday.
The Federation Council, or upper house of the Russian parliament, on Friday fixed the voting day on March 4, 2012.
“We hope the relevant document will soon be available,” he said. “We will publish the resolution on November 26. Despite the fact that the newspaper does not come out on Saturdays, we can easily change our schedule.
As soon as the document is published, the presidential election campaign is officially kicked off.
