MOSCOW, November 25 (Itar-Tass) —— Train traffic along the circular line of Moscow’s metro was suspended for nine minutes because of thick smoke between the Kievskaya and Krasnopresnenskaya stations, a spokesman for the Moscow emergencies administration told Itar-Tass on Friday.

According to the spokesman, the accident took place early on Friday after smoke was reported in the tunnel between the two stations. “Train traffic was suspended, people were evacuated. No one was hurt,” the spokesman said.

The accident, in his words, was caused by a short circuit in an electric cable. It took specialists nine minutes to remedy the situation, after which traffic was resumed.
