Yanukovich says on December 19 he will be there where he must be

“I have not given any information as to where I shall be on the 19th to anyone. I shall be there where I must be,” Yanukovich said

KIEV, November 24 (Itar-Tass) —— Ukraine’s President Viktor Yanukovich has said that on December 19, the day of the Ukraine-EU summit in Kiev, he will be there where his presence will be necessary.

He made this statement, when asked by reporters if he would go to Moscow on December 19 for a meeting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council.

“I have not given any information as to where I shall be on the 19th to anyone. I shall be there where I must be,” Yanukovich said.

Earlier, a number of mass media said that Yanukovich would attend the 32nd meeting of the EurAsEC Interstate Council, due in Moscow on the 19th of December.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that it had no information about Yanukovich’s plans to visit Moscow on that day. On December 19 Kiev is to host a Ukraine-EU summit, where an agreement of Ukraine’s association with the EU is to be initialed.
