MOSCOW, November 24 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov held talks with his Tajik counterpart Sherali Khairulloyev in Moscow on Thursday. Khairulloyev is currently on a visit in Moscow at Serdyukov’s invitation, the press secretary of the Russian defense minister, Irina Kovalchuk, said.
“The two men discussed bilateral military cooperation. Special attention was paid to the operative compatibility of troops and the further functioning of the Russian military base in Tajik territory. The meeting ended with the signing of a plan for bilateral cooperation between the defense ministries in 2012,” Kovalchuk said.
