Passenger flow of RF’s aviation companies to grow to 63-64 million

In 2010, Russian aviation companies served 56.9 million passengers

MOSCOW, November 24 (Itar-Tass) — Passenger flow of Russia’s aviation companies in 2011 may grow to 63-64 million, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Transport Valery Okulov told the 5th international forum Transport of Russia on Thursday.

In 2010, Russian aviation companies served 56.9 million passengers.

Okulov said that Russia’s ratio of public mobility still remains low – about twice lower than that in Europe and by four times lower than in the USA.

An objective of Russia’s aviation authorities is to raise public mobility to the European level, he said.
