ASTANA, November 24 (Itar-Tass) —— In the framework of the official visit of Ukraine’s Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov to Kazakhstan, the two countries signed an agreement on cooperation between interior ministries of the two countries.
Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Kalmukhambet Kasymov told reporters on Thursday that the document’s term is five years.
“Besides our regular directions of cooperation in crimes against persons, in property-related crimes, we shall cooperate in new directions,” he said. “Kazakhstan and Ukraine will cooperate in fighting extremism and cyber crimes.”
“We shall exchange information, will search jointly for criminals, will work on applications,” he added.
He added that the agreement also covers “organisation of rehabilitation and treatment for our staff.”
