Eurasian Development Bank attracts $50 mln from Japanese bank

The EADB is an international financial organization that was established by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006

ALMATY, November 24 (Itar-Tass) — The Eurasian Development Bank (EADB) and Japan's Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd have signed a bilateral credit agreement under which the EADB will be granted a loan of $50 million in two tranches.

The EADB press center reports, "The funds are intended to finance projects being implemened by EADB within the framework of Programmes for the development of trade-financing and microfinancing instruments, as well as Programmes of support to small and medium-sized businesses".

The EADB is an international financial organization that was established by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006. The Bank's charter capital amounts to more than $1,500 million. Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan are the EADB's participant countries.
