GORKI, November 23 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev stated in case the situation with the U.S. missile defense takes a turn for the worse, Russia will renounce further moves in the field of disarmament and arms control.

"In case of unfavorable development of the situation, Russia reserves the right to renounce further moves in the field of disarmament and arms control," Medvedev said in a televised address to the nation.
