Russia’s budget surplus to reach 300 bln roubles in 2011

The surplus is expected to comprise 300 billion roubles or 0.3-0.4 percent of the GDP

МOSCOW, November 22 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s budget surplus may reach 0.3-0.4 percent of the GDP in 2011, Acting Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told a meeting of the government’s presidium on Tuesday.

The surplus is expected to comprise 300 billion roubles or 0.3-0.4 percent of the GDP.

“We believe that next year these funds should be injected into reduction of borrowings on the domestic market not to accumulate market liquidity that could work for the good of the economy,” he said.
