KOROLEV (Moscow region), November 22 (Itar-Tass) —— Roscosmos does not find the reasons for an emergency situation onboard the interplanetary station Phobos-Grunt.
“Unfortunately we lack the telemetry, we just do not understand what is happening,” state secretary of Roscosmos deputy chief Vitaly Davydov told reporters on Tuesday. “But the most interesting thing is that, according to our information, the station is on an oriented flight, but something strange is happening with it,” Davydov said.
Explaining why the station operates unstably on the orbit, Davydov said, “We cannot get in contact with it, but the control system can function. Probably, some fuel leaked.”
