Charitable action to be held on International Day of Child

Animation programs, tea parties and souvenirs have been prepared for Children from children’s homes and boarding schools, orphanages and rehabilitation centers

MOSCOW, November 20 (Itar-Tass) — A Fund for support of children in difficult life situations, Yuri Rozum’s International Charitable Fund and the Gnesin Academy of Music will hold a “Children to Children” action on the occasion of International Day of the Child to be marked on Sunday.

“Our action will remind all of us that children who need help live side by side with us, and each of us is in position to give this help if they spend some time, share their skills and donate a small sum of money. All this will make children a little happier,” Marina Gordeyeva, the chairwoman of the Fund’s board.

Animation programs, tea parties and souvenirs have been prepared for Children from children’s homes and boarding schools, orphanages and rehabilitation centers of Moscow, the Moscow and Vladimir regions.

Adult guests will be able to see an exhibition of children’s works and funny photographs and participate in the charitable sale of souvenirs and new year greeting cards.

Talented children, sponsored by the Yuri Rozum International Charitable Fund, and stars of classical and pop music will give a concert for all guests.

“It’s vitally important when a talented child musician enters the stage not only for the sake of success and glory but with a desire to help another person, his or her peer. Children begin to understand that their art can really support other children who need help,” People’s Artist of Russia Yuri Rozum said.

The concert will be held at the Gnesin Academy of Music to raise funds for the inmates of a children’s home in Kolchugino for mentally retarded children in the Vladimir region.

The “Children to Children” action has already been held in a children’s home for deaf and blind children in Sergiyev Posad near Moscow, the Ryazan juvenile correctional facility for girls and a boarding school in Novo-Peredelkino near Moscow.
