Over 200 Occupy protesters arrested in New York, LA

Two policemen were hospitalized

NEW YORK, November 18 (Itar-Tass) —— New York police arrested over 200 Occupy protesters on Thursday as it prevented them from shutting down the Wall Street.

Many protesters complained of police brutality, but police said at least seven officers were injured. Some were hit in the face with an unknown liquid and one had his hand cut by a flying piece of glass, ABC TV channel reported. Two policemen were hospitalized.

Hundreds of protesters went into the streets of New York and other cities to mark two months of the Occupy Wall Street movement against economic inequality.

In Los Angeles 23 people were arrested for blocking a street.
