Extremists are agents of Islamic world’s enemies - Putin

“On the international arena, Russia has always acted as a firm protector and ally of the Islamic world,” Putin underlined

MOSCOW, November 17 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin called extremists as agents of the Islamic world’s enemies.

“Extremists mask their activities as protection of Islam,” he said on Thursday during a meeting with veterans and retirees, which also featured Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev. “But true protectors of Islam, those religious activists who protect traditional values of Russia’s peoples, die at the hands of those criminals.”

“On the international arena, Russia has always acted as a firm protector and ally of the Islamic world,” he continued. “Extremists, by trying to ruin Russia, deprive the Islamic world of this support, and in this sense they are no other but agents of the Islamic world’s enemies.”
