MOSCOW, November 15 (Itar-Tass) —— There is no fuel leak from the burned Sergei Abramov vessel, which would soon be removed from the Moscow Northern River Port waters, the Transport Ministry told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

“There is no fuel leak, but containment booms were installed around the ship just in case,” it said.

The ship tilted to the right while the fire was being put out and hit the ground with its aft. “A pontoon was installed to prevent the ship from capsizing,” the ministry said.

The Federal Marine and River Transport Agency is drafting a plan to straighten up the ship, to pump out water and to evacuate the ship from the Moscow Northern River Port waters. The works will be done by the Agency subsidiaries.

The fire on the tri-deck ship started at about 4:00 a.m. on Moscow, and it took firemen more than 13 hours to put out blaze. Presumably, the fire was sparked with a short circuit. Two people got burns and were hospitalized, and two more were given medical aid at an outpatient facility. One crewmember is missing.
