SEOUL, November 15 (Itar-Tass) — South Korea has sent two batches of hepatitis B vaccine for more than one million children in North Korea, the South Korean Ministry of Unification reported on Tuesday.
The first batch of the vaccine worth an equivalent of 942.3 million dollars arrived in North Korea via China with the help of the World Health Organization. The second batch arrived in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on Monday.
Last week, Seoul made an official decision to offer humanitarian aid to North Korea through United Nations’ agencies.
