HONOLULU (Hawaii), November 14 (Itar-Tass) —— The leaders of the APEC states, including Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, began a working meeting at the 19th APEC summit. They took seats at a big six-corner table with a delay of 15 minutes.
U.S. President Barack Obama delivered a brief opening speech for the APEC summiteers as the host of the summit.
The working meeting of the APEC summit will be traditionally held behind closed doors.
Several rounds of the working meeting are scheduled today (it is Sunday in Honolulu). Meanwhile, the consultations will continue at the working breakfast.
The APEC leaders are also expected to have a meeting with members of the APEC Business Advisory Council. Barack Obama will sum up the summit results at the end of the workday.
