HONOLULU, November 13 (Itar-Tass) — Japan and Russia have signed a memorandum to develop bilateral cooperation and promote investments, Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Yukio Edano said after the working meeting with Russia’s Minister of Economic Development Elvira Nabiullina on the sidelines of the APEC summit on Saturday.
“We paid special attention to the policy of Russia’s economic modernization,” he said welcoming the completion of the talks on Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization.
Edano also expressed readiness to share Japan’s experience and help Russia prepare for hosting the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Vladivostok in 2012.
