ASTANA, November 12 (Itar-Tass) —— An incident with shooting and blasts occurred in the city of Taraza (former Dzhambul) in the administration centre of the Zhambyl region in Kazakhstan’s south on Saturday. According to mass media reports, it happened near the building of the regional administration. As is reported, three people, including one policeman, died in the incident.
At present, the site of the incident is encircled by police. As press secretary of the prosecutor’s office of the Zhambyl rgion Zhomart Teleuov told ITAR-TASS, the incident occurred at 13.00 local time (11.00 Moscow time). He gave no other details.
“Now a check is underway. A special headquarters to investigate the given incident was set up. The prosecutor left for the site of the incident,” Teleuov said.
