Medvedev gives dinner to Asia-Pacific businessmen

Such meetings have become a tradition at APEC summits

HONOLULU, November 12 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev who arrived in Honolulu for the APEC summit, holds an informal dinner with members of the business community of the Asia-Pacific region.

Such meetings have become a tradition at APEC summits. However, this year forum hosts decided to organise them at homes of ordinary residents of the Hawaii Islands. Medvedev’s meeting with businessmen is held at the house of headmaster of the local school Jimmy Scott.

Menu-card consists of traditional Hawaii dishes. Guests will taste fish with tomatoes, mushrooms, Hawaii roast veal and many other dishes.

The dinner is also attended by the Russian president’s aide Arkady Dvorkovich, board chairman of the Summa-Kapital Company Ziyanudin Magomedov, Gazprom head Alexei Miller.

Businessmen of the Asia-Pacific region included executive director of the US Chamber of Commerse Tom Donahue, president of the Johnson and Johnson Company William Weldon, board chairman of the General Dynamics Company Jay Johnson, head of the Boeing Company James Monterey, etc.
