Plans for Vostochny space launch complex not delayed

“The space launch complex will be constructed, all necessary decisions are in place, and we are not going to delay the terms,” Medvedev said

KHABAROVSK, November 11 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev confirmed that the plans to construct the Vostochny space launch complex remain in force and are not delayed despite several failures in the space sphere.

“We have been experiencing many failures lately, and it is a reason to analyse them,” he said. “But the space launch complex will be constructed, all necessary decisions are in place, and we are not going to delay the terms.”

“By 2013-2014 we shall be able to try launching medium rockets, and from 2015 – rockets of the Angara project class,” he said on Friday during a meeting with media.
