VOLGOGRAD, November 11 (Itar-Tass) —— The bus with children’s sport dancing team collided with two trucks and a car in the Volgograd Region. Three children and a woman were injured in the road accident, a source in the Southern regional emergency situation center told Itar-Tass on Friday.

The road accident occurred at 11.10 p.m. Moscow time on Thursday on the 1P-228 highway at the 50th kilometre away from the city of Kamyshin near the settlement of Semenovka. The Neoplan bus en route from Volgograd to Saratov collided with two trucks, one of which on the roadside, and a VAZ-2110 car.

“The bus was carrying 44 passengers, including 20 children – a sport dancing team. Three children aged 10-14 years and a woman were injured in the road accident and taken to the district hospital in Kamyshin with slight injuries,” the source said.

Nine people, including eight children were accommodated at the temporary center. Other passengers were brought back to Volgograd by another bus.

The road accident is being investigated. According to preliminary reports, the road accident could have occurred due to a careless driving in the fog on the slippery road.
