MOSCOW, November 9 (Itar-Tass) —— Russian President Dmitry Medvedev believes that the verdict, which the Tajik court passed against the pilots of the Russian air company, raises “very many questions.” The president intends to wait for an official response from the Tajik authorities, after that Moscow will take reciprocal actions, which “may be symmetrical or asymmetrical,” Medvedev said at a meeting with his supporters from the Internet communities.
The president noted that he gave instructions to the Foreign Ministry, the law enforcement agencies to investigate thoroughly this criminal case and to get in touch with colleagues in Tajikistan.
Medvedev remarked that he would not like to comment on the actions of the sovereign state (Tajikistan), “but it is already clear that the decision on this case raises many questions from the point of view of the corpus delicti and from the point of view of this trial procedure.”
“We expect an official response, after that we will already take decisions, and these decisions can be different: symmetrical or asymmetrical,” the Russian leader underlined.
