Naftogaz Ukrainy has transferred about 1.4 billion dollars to Russia’s gas giant Gazprom for natural gas imported in October

KIEV, November 9 (Itar-Tass) — Naftogaz Ukrainy has transferred about 1.004 billion dollars to Russia’s gas giant Gazprom for natural gas imported in October, the press service of the Ukrainian national company reported on Wednesday.

The report said gas price for the company in October-December makes up about 400 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters taking into account the discount of 100 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters.

The press service marked that Naftogaz Ukrainy monthly, timely and fully fulfils its commitments to Gazprom as to gas imports payments. The price of natural gas for Ukraine was 264 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters in January-March, 297 dollars in April-June and 354 dollars in July-September.

Earlier reports said Gazprombank, the lending arm of Russian natural gas export monopoly Gazprom, agreed to loan $550 million to Naftogaz Ukrainy to pay for imports. Gazprombank agreed to provide Naftogaz with a one-year loan at 8.5 percent a year.

On October 26, Ukraine and Russia agreed on the possibility of settlements for imported by Ukraine gas in Russian roubles.
