MOSCOW, November 9 (Itar-Tass) — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed the law on amendments in some legislative acts, the Russian presidential press service reported on Wednesday.

The federal law introduced amendments in the Russian Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code and the December 29, 2010 federal law on amendments in the Russian Criminal Procedure Code and recognizing invalid some provisions of Russian legislative acts.

The federal law should specify the parole release procedure, including when put in a penitentiary, which executed the sentence that did not enter in legal force.

The new reading of Article 173 Part 5 of the Criminal Procedure Code envisages that if the parole release verdict did not enter into legal force and was not appealed, the convict will be released in the morning on the day, which is next to the day, when the deadline of his appeal expires. The parole release procedure is specified in cases of pardoning and the act of amnesty.

The Russian Criminal Procedure Code introduced the amendments, which concern the release of the convict from custody or relieving from the sentence under the parole release verdict passed by the courts of appeal.
