NOVOSIBIRSK, November 8 (Itar-Tass) — Russian Prime Minister Vlaimir Putin has stressed the need for modernizing the domestic transport fleet – from aircraft to taxi buses.

Speaking at the All-Russian conference of transport workers he underlined that the country “needs new metro cars, buses, trolleybuses, taxi buses and the whole range of ships.”

“Modernization of the transport complex can give an impetus to the development of other industrial sectors,” Putin said. “It is necessary to take efforts for the Russian domestic manufacturers to get orders (for the production of new transport means.”

He underlined that Russian producers “should be ready to propose modern equipment at an affordable price.”
